About

I am a Senior Research Engineer at Synthesia, working on Speech and Natural Language. Previously, I was a Machine Learning Engineer at Roku and an Applied Scientist at Amazon. I completed my Ph.D. at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore, where I was part of the Web Information Retrieval / Natural Language Processing Group (WING) under the supervision of Dr. Min-Yen Kan. I also held a Research Assistant position at the Institute for Application of Learning Sciences and Educational Technologies.

I received my B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, where I now serve as an Adjunct Faculty member. Before graduate school, I worked as a Software Development Engineer at Cisco Systems, and during my Ph.D. I spent four months as a research intern at Naver Labs Europe (formerly Xerox Research Center Europe).
